On a daily basis Blink is in contact with brands, agencies and studios about major and independent films, film competitions, film festivals, music tours, as well as various events and sponsorships affecting the entertainment community. We touch all aspects of the entertainment space: music tours and endorsements; fashion shows; movie and television integration, promotions and sponsorships; and celebrity events
Blink Entertainment’s job is to fuse brands with entertainment in order reach and engage consumers.
Position: Summer Intern
Compensation: Unpaid/Credit for those schools offering it
Duration: Summer 2009 Semester (May - August)

Description:
We are seeking a few good Summer interns who are passionate about marketing and entertainment. Interns must be able to multi-task, enjoy learning by doing and detail-oriented.
The Blink Summer internship requires interns to do the following:
Intern Morning Monitoring:
Each morning Blink interns are required to do morning monitoring on all Entertainment News, which is a morning email sent to the Blink staff on daily entertainment news. It’s important for Blink interns to learn about the industry on a day to day basis and familiarize themselves with names, studios, agencies and companies.
Film Promotions:
Blink clients such as Ideal Partners, Magnolia Pictures, IFC Films and other independent studios require a handful number of scripts to be read thru and outlined. Blink interns are first required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement which you will receive today as each script is highly confidential, they are responsible for reading through a number of scripts.
Marketing Communications:
Another important asset to Blink is marketing communications. Blink interns participate in brainstorms to come up with strategies and ideas for Blink’s Fortune 500 companies. Blink interns will actively participate in celebrity procurement, securing sponsorships and promotions.
Research:
Blink interns will find themselves doing research daily to locate contacts at various companies. Blinks staff relies on their interns to be quick in looking for research online, making calls, analyzing tasks at hand and thinking outside of the box. Examples of research projects include: identifying a top-selling blonde artist who is going on tour in 2010.
Like all internships, Blink interns may be required to handle a number of administrative duties in the office.
Blink interns will be required to man the phones when they are in the office.
